About Us

Alaska has been part of our family story for nearly a century.

In 1927, my grandmother came to Alaska and took a job as a cook on the railroad. She later became the first Postmistress of Moose Pass and was the one who gave our little community its name. Her adventurous spirit and connection to this place became part of the family story that continues to this day.

My father, Ed Estes, spent his life in Moose Pass, where he married my mother, Nancy, and together they raised seven children—I was the youngest. I was born and raised in Alaska, and although life eventually took me away from my hometown for a time, Alaska was always home. Along the way, I married and built a beautifully blended family of three children and, now, four wonderful grandchildren.

Eventually, life brought me back to where my story began, and I’m grateful to call my hometown home once again.

Since returning to Alaska, I’ve found myself drawn even more deeply to the beauty around us—the wild places, the plants, and the many gifts nature provides. That connection inspired me to begin studying herbalism and learning about the plants that have been valued for generations for their natural qualities.

What started as a personal interest gradually became a passion for creating simple, thoughtfully made products for everyday life.

Let’s Get Lost is more than a collection of handmade products. It’s a little piece of my Alaska story—a story rooted in family, home, nature, and the generations who came before me.
